The Office of International Security Affairs hosted its first collaborative event of the year in partnership with the United Nations and its External Affairs team. Several members worked together to organize a spectacular event for both USDF and UN personnel to enjoy.

The event’s theme was a luxurious Casino Royale, and guests were invited to immerse themselves in the electrifying games and don their most formal attire, emphasizing elegance. Throughout the night, there were three luck-based games held, and the fortunate winners received an accumulated 1000c worth of coins and other rare prizes.

We started the night off with a fallout from USDF HQ and made our way to the first room. The Assistant Director for Regional Security Affairs and the Executive Officer for International Security Affairs remarked on the importance of the USDF-UN alliance and thanked each team for their effort in creating such an event. The Director of the UN External Affairs, Joe…?, also talked about the strength of the USDF-UN alliance and elaborated on the significance of joint events.

The first game played was the Nervous Horse Race. Contestants had to pick a balloon that represented their horse. Unlike a traditional race, the horse that finished first was eliminated, and everyone who picked them was out. The game continued until a winner was crowned and awarded 250c.  The second game was a typical game of Habbo Fridge, where the winner also received 250c. To conclude the night, all guests moved to UN’s room for a game of roulette. Those who correctly guessed the number the ball landed on won 50c, while the last player standing claimed the top prize of 100c.

Once all activities were completed and the winners were crowned the event came to a close. Both External Affairs teams made final remarks highlighting the importance of collaboration, hinted at future joint events, and expressed their thanks for each team’s effort over the previous weeks.
