Wired Guide: Jumpman

Written By: -Eils / Graphics By: Eils

What you need:
2x WIRED Trigger: User Says Keyword
1x WIRED Trigger: Repeat Effect
1x WIRED Trigger: User Stuff Collision
3x WIRED Effect: Teleport to Furni
1x WIRED Effect: Change Furni Direction
2x WIRED Condition: Triggering User is on Furni

Game Area Set Up:

You need a straight line of 7 tiles, a seat on each end and 1x item of furni that the user will be “jumping” over. You also need somewhere for users to teleport if they get hit by the flower.

Here’s my set up for this tutorial:

Step 1

Stack the wired into the following stacks:
1 – WIRED Trigger: User Says Keyword, WIRED Effect: Teleport to Furni, WIRED Condition: Triggering User is on Furni
2 – Same as above
3 – WIRED Trigger: Repeat Effect, WIRED Effect: Change Furni Direction
4 – WIRED Trigger: User Stuff Collision, WIRED Effect: Teleport to Furni

Step 2

The first two stacks are virtually the same, just with minor differences. I’ll be starting with the first stack on the left though for ease!
For User Says Keyword, set the keyword to jump (or any other variant if you wish – :jump will NOT work)

For Teleport to Furni, select your seat located on the right hand side.

For Triggering User is on Furni, select the seat on the left. If you find that it glitches sometimes, select the tile underneath as well and it should help.

For the 2nd stack, repeat this but select the opposite seats than you selected in the first stack.

Now when a player is on the left seat, if they say jump they should teleport to the right seat, and vice versa.

Step 3

For our third stack, set Repeat Effect to any time you wish. Usually I go for 0.5 or 1 second, depending on how difficult I want to make the game.

For Change Furni Direction, set the start direction to the opposite direction than the seat that players will start on (you don’t want your players to die as soon as they get in now, do you?). Make sure you also tick “Turn back”.

For our fourth and final stack, as User Stuff Collision is automatically set up, on Teleport to Furni you just need to select the seat users will teleport to when they are out.

There you have it! You can easily link this up with a counter and a scoreboard to make an automated game if you wish, but this is just a guide for the base game wired. Enjoy!
